I designed this piece for the Eightyfive Studio Collection, part of the 2024 Black Friday Capsule. While the collection primarily focused on silhouette and fabric, this print was created as a visual highlight—adding a streetwear edge while seamlessly integrating into the collection’s refined aesthetic.
The artwork is a composition of items associated with the "Old Money" appearance: a champagne cooler, a cocktail glass, a wallet, and a cigar. The print is done in a hand-drawn style to create the look of being handmade and unique.
I prefer more abstract painted subjects, as they provide a contemporary, playful touch to the design and prevent it from appearing old-fashioned. The elements are placed intentionally with some imbalance, with the champagne cooler placed off-center. This creates visual interest and makes the painting more dynamic.
